Early Years and Families

We work with local partner organisations to create these fun-filled events, which are a chance for families to spend time together while doing something different.

Taking place at museums, parks, and community venues across the district, our diverse programme includes live performances, festivals, arts and crafts sessions, and more.

Along with introducing children to the arts, our activities encourage youngsters to make friends, try different art forms, and learn through play.

Running throughout the year, every activity is fun, friendly, and totally free to take part in!

October half-term activities

Head to Clipstone Village Hall this October half-term for two lively puppet shows filled with music, storytelling, and lovable animal characters.

There will be two performances per show, running from 10am and 12pm and 1pm and 3pm. Every performance is followed by an artist-led workshop, where youngsters can create their own puppet to take home.

All puppet shows and workshops are free to attend. However, advance booking is required, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our October half-term activities are a collaboration with our partner, City Arts Nottingham.

Family Saturdays

You'll regularly find our team during Family Saturdays at the National Civil War Centre.

Taking place on the first Saturday of every month, these fantastic family day outs run from 10am to 4pm across the museum and its galleries.

We run a range of activities, including artist-led workshops, craft activities, games, fun family trails, and more!
